We’ve been playing around with different seasonings lately when we have black bean burgers (a staple) and it paid off! They get the cheesy flavor from nutritional yeast, a flakey seasoning that is packed with vitamins. I love these fries and know you will too!
Ingredients: Serves 3-4
- 3 medium-sized russet potatoes, sliced thin and long
- 1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast (split)
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (omit if you are sensitive to spice)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
- Pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add the sliced potatoes to a large bowl and drizzle the olive oil on top. Mix to combine.
- Add 1 Tablespoon of the nutritional yeast and all the remaining spices. Mix to combine.
- Pour the fries onto the baking sheet and arrange them all flat. Sprinkle the remaining 1 Tablespoon of nutritional yeast onto the fries.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, until they are crispy and golden. Enjoy!
