We make homemade pizza almost every Sunday. There’s just something so satisfying about warm pizza fresh out of the oven. When I started eating plant-based, pizza was one of those things I felt like I couldn’t vegan-ize. I don’t use vegan cheeses because they are full of oils and unhealthy ingredients. This pizza recipe is so delicious you won’t even miss the cheese! It has so much flavor. Try it out!
Ingredients:
- homemade pizza dough
- Favorite pizza sauce
- Kalamata olives or black olives, sliced
- Pepperoncinis, sliced
- Marinated or canned artichoke hearts, separated
- Red pepper flakes
Balsamic Glaze
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons honey
Directions:
- Prepare pizza dough (It has to rise for a little over an hour so keep that in mind).
- Make the balsamic glaze by adding the ingredients to a small pan and bringing it to a simmer. Whisk to combine and allow it to simmer for 5 minutes before removing from heat. Set aside.
- When the dough is ready, assemble the pizza by adding the sauce and toppings (do not add the balsamic glaze yet).
- Bake for 10-12 minutes and then top with a drizzle of the balsamic glaze. Enjoy!
