Frothy Hot Chocolate

I love hot chocolate, but every single time I would drink hot chocolate with cow’s milk, I would feel sick after for about an hour. THIS is the first hot chocolate that doesn’t do that because it’s naturally sweetened with dates and made with plant milk.

INGREDIENTS: (serves 2)

  • 5 medjool dates
  • 2 & 1/2 cups plant milk (I prefer Organic soy, it’s so creamy!)
  • 2 teaspoons cacao powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, plus more for sprinkling on top

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth with no chunks of dates.
  2. Optional: use a nut milk bag or a fine strainer to strain the date chunks (If you have a Vitamix this isn’t necessary)
  3. Heat on the stove, pour into mugs, and top with additional cinnamon. Enjoy!

I hope you love this as much as I do. I especially like how frothy it is!
